Schubertiade
A special kind of festival
With over 80 performances and 35,000 visitors, the Schubertiade is the now world’s greatest Schubert festival. Nowhere else can boast such a high number of Lieder evenings set within such a compact time-frame, all interpreted by leading world-class musicians.
The little Wälder railway
From 1902 to 1980 the Bregenzerwald was linked to Lake Constance and the Vorarlberg capital city of Bregenz by one of Austria’s typical 760-mm gauge railways.
